Beyond the Workshop

Keep Showing Up — the impact of The Show Them Project does not end when the presentation finishes.

Research consistently shows that whilst powerful one-off interventions can inspire young people, lasting change is achieved through continued reflection, reinforcement and meaningful engagement over time.

For this reason, The Show Them Project delivers a 12-week personal development and prevention programme, combining lived experience, resilience education, informed decision-making and measurable impact evaluation.

Following the workshop, participating schools gain access to Keep Showing Up — The Show Them Project Reflection Journal. Every two weeks, students complete a short reflection designed to strengthen learning, build resilience, encourage informed decision-making and reinforce the importance of making positive choices. It can be completed in as little as 6 weeks or spread over 12 — at a speed to suit each class.

A Structured Personal Development Journey

The Reflection Journal is built around six key areas of personal development:

  • Understanding Choices and Consequences
  • Managing Influence and Peer Pressure
  • Future Aspirations and Positive Decision-Making
  • Empathy and Understanding Lived Experience
  • Resilience and Seeking Support
  • Personal Growth and Reflection

The programme has been designed with future accreditation in mind, and forms the foundation of a structured personal development pathway that recognises students’ commitment to reflection, resilience and positive decision-making. Students who complete it receive a Show Them Project Reflection Journal Certificate of Completion.

Meaningful education should be measurable.

Measuring Long-Term Impact

Students complete professionally designed questionnaires before the workshop, immediately afterwards and again three months later, allowing us to measure both immediate and sustained impact. Alongside student evaluations, teachers and school staff complete independent professional observations.

By combining student reflections, teacher evaluations and longitudinal questionnaire data, schools receive comprehensive analytical Impact Reports demonstrating measurable outcomes across awareness, decision-making, confidence, resilience, understanding of lived experience, help-seeking and retention of learning over time — supporting safeguarding, PSHE, wellbeing and personal development priorities.

More Than a School Presentation

The Show Them Project is more than a powerful lived-experience presentation. It is a measurable educational intervention with a structured 12-week reinforcement programme, longitudinal evaluation, independent teacher observations, certificated student completion and analytical impact reporting.

By combining authentic lived experience with structured reflection and measurable outcomes, The Show Them Project provides schools with a programme that continues making a difference long after the workshop has finished.
